LaDesha Rush
The intersection of rhythm, patience, and organic form is explored in my work. My main medium is gel pen, which I use to create complex surfaces with innumerable tiny strokes. I build up layers of lines until they develop into waves of movement and texture. This slow, meditative process allows me to lose myself in repetition, creating spaces that feel both intimate and expansive.
My compositions frequently evoke natural rhythms, such as flowing water, leaves rustling in the wind, or aerial views of landscapes. I regard my painting as a bridge between the inner and outer worlds, and I am fascinated by the way patterns in nature reflect the interior patterns of thought and emotion.
Each piece of artwork invites viewers to stop, explore, and discover their own reflections within the flow. It is not just a visual item but a portal of meditative calm.
